I
started painting cars, motorcycles & helmets in
1974. My first drag car was in 1979. At this point I thought "Why just paint?" so
I started racing too.
In
1986, I met Tim Smith. This started a long standing working
relationship. Tim is a very talented sign panter / pinstriper
/ air brush artist. He still does all of my work to this
day.
In 1992 I started
doing work for Jegs's. That year Jeg Coughlin
Jr’s roadster won the NHRA super gas world championship.
In 1993 I started
painting 5 time IHRA world champion Mark Thomas’s funny cars. Between
these two I have painted 8 world champion cars and still paint cars
for them today.
I
have painted for many great customers over the years and have won Best
Appearing Awardsat eight NHRA National
events, 14 NHRA & IHRA Divisional events, and numerous awards
for motorcycles and street rods at various events. Many of the race
cars were designed by artists David
Peters and Scott
Brown whom I still work with.
